I recently delivered a math workshop for fellow teacher candidates about using technology to help teach math concepts (whether for practice, fun, using virtual manipulative sites, etc.).
We set it up as a blog so that participants could deliver instant feedback in posted comments below the activity.
We also included a page of math resources we found extremely useful during the research part of pulling the project together.
I think it was a big success - a lot of our colleagues were immersed in problem solving - we asked them to fill the shoes of students from a variety of grades K-6.
In the end, I feel like I could create a unique blog for any number of units now - for my class and for helping to teach PD.
Check it out HERE.
